Review: Silverado Resort and Spa, Napa
In late June of this year we flew out to California and spent some time in San Francisco, Napa and Carmel. A highlight of the trip without a doubt was staying at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa. This luxury resort is a relaxing haven tucked away on a golf course in Wine Country. Silverado Resort and Spa offers a full-service spa, has hosted two PGA championships, has 10 tennis courts, bocce courts, and local biking and hiking trails. Thanks to its prime location in the world-famous Napa Valley, it's also close to more than 400 wineries.
The resort offers casual dining featuring fresh foods from local markets. My favourite? The tacos and wine, of course! There is nothing like sitting poolside while sipping on your favourite Napa rosé. When we weren’t eating delicious food or drinking wine from local wineries, we visited the spa, which is really more like a wellness centre–a beautiful, tranquil spot to get some serious R&R. There is a spacious gym, a separate area for the spa and a cafe for a post-workout smoothie or juice. We used the gym everyday and grabbed a smoothie after. The perfect spot to sit and read the paper in the morning, post-workout.
But of course we can’t talk about Silverado Resort and Spa without talking about their epic golf course! The 18-hole golf course at Silverado Resort and Spa if a golfer’s DREAM! Pristinely kept, the golf course at Silverado Resort & Spa is a championship course, surrounded by Napa Valley’s golden hills. It was redesigned by PGA Hall-of-Famer and Owner Johnny Miller and doesn’t disappoint.
When most people travel they arrive in their room, drop their bags and head out. At Silverado Resort and Spa a huge part of the experience is the room itself! Our room had a full kitchen, living area, king size bed, patio and of course, a woman’s best friend – a kick-ass bathroom! Check out the gallery below of our stunning room.
I am literally counting down the days until we go back to Napa and I would 100% stay at Silverado Resort and Spa again. We left the resort to explore Napa a bit but what I love about the resort is that is offers something for everyone – you could spend your entire trip at the resort and always have something to do. My favourite parts of the resort included the cafe with an outdoor patio (complete with a fire pit), the tennis courts, the pool and the walking bridge connecting the course to the resort grounds.
When I shared our visit on my Instagram story I received a ton of feedback on the jungle-looking setting. Where exactly was I? My ultimate favourite memory was exactly this. On our last night we walked the resort grounds… it’s so big and beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it. The question is not if we are going back but rather… when?!
